Jericho, NY, January 23, 2006
— On Friday, January 20, 2006, employees from State
Bank of Long Island taught a financial education
class to fourth and fifth graders involved in

located at Drexel Elementary School in Westbury.
This is part of State Bank’s ongoing effort to
promote financial education to youngsters in order
to prepare them for a healthy financial future.
Part of the MPowering Kids "Financial Futures" Program
Employees at State Bank of Long Island taught
twenty-four elementary school students about money
and savings through the use of games and other
hands-on activities. State Bankers will be
conducting another class in January of 2006 for
middle school students participating in the
MPowering Kids Program. The State Bank guest
speakers were welcomed by MPowering Kids as part of
their “Financial Futures” program which promotes
financial literacy as a pathway out of poverty for
the promising students in their after-school
program.
The MPowering Kids program is made possible through the generous support of individual and corporate sponsors. For additional information about MPowering Kids, please visit the About Us section or go to the Donations page to help support MPowering Kids.
