Westbury, NY, February
10, 2006 — MPowering Kids, a non-profit academic
after-school program that provides tutoring,
mentoring, and cultural enrichment for students in
under-served communities, today threw a Valentine's
Day party for the residents of The Bristal Assisted
Living in Westbury.
The residents enjoyed the
afternoon interacting with the friendly and curious
students from MPowering Kids. “We are happy that the
students of MPowering Kids could put a smile on the
faces of so many.” said Susan Marshall, Founder of
MPowering Kids. “Teaching our students the importance
of giving back to the community is an integral
component of MPowering Kids and we are certain that
both the students and the residents of The Bristal
Assisted Living facility found great joy in their
visit together.”
