Join us in working with one of New York’s most dynamic, culturally rich communities. The children in our program represent America today and the America of the future.
You can make a difference! Your commitment to participating in what is good and right in our world is the best role model you can offer to these students. During your weekly visits, you will have a chance to demonstrate your own values of respect, responsibility and philanthropy. In addition, you help keep our overhead costs low and ensure that any funds we raise provide direct services to our students.
Thinking About Volunteering?

Not able to volunteer? If you Make A Donation, it will help MPowering Kids students receive nine years of after-school programs that keep them focused on school and earning a college degree.
There are many ways that you can get involved with MPowering Kids at our Westbury, NY (Nassau County, Long Island) facility:
Become a Tutor
Tutors provide one-on-one and small-group homework assistance, participate in fun educational games that enhance classroom learning, and are important role models to our students.
MPowering Kids tutors must be at least 16 years old and must agree to spend 2 hours a week with the students. All tutors must submit to a screening process, which includes: an application, an interview with an MPowering Kids staff member, and a criminal background check.
