Want to help make a difference in the life of a promising student?
Well, we have lots of ways for you to get involved!
As an MPowering Kids’ volunteer, you will be working with some of the most dedicated people around, who work as a team to help our students succeed.
You will help keep our overhead costs low, so that 96% of every dollar donated to MPK goes directly to program services for our students.
- Tutors – help motivated and promising students do their best in school and in life!
- Mentors – mentor a child, and change two lives!
- General Volunteers – help keep things going smoothly behind the scenes by assisting with newsletters, mailings, data mining, database building and tech support. Like to throw parties? Help plan fund-raising events. You will have the chance to learn and/or maintain your computer skills!
When you join the MPowering Kids Team, you will receive training, recognition and references as you build your own career.

MPowering Kids is a non-profit charitable organization that provides after-school tutoring, mentoring, and cultural enrichment and community service programs for motivated students in Nassau County (Long Island), New York. The MPowering Kids staff and volunteers work closely with students from fourth grade through their high school graduation. The MPowering Kids program is solely supported by donations from individuals, foundations, and corporate sponsors.
