Volunteers In Action

Jane is a retired school teacher who has donated many hours of her valuable time to work with the students of MPowering Kids. A non-stop reservoir of energy, Jane has initiated some very popular programs, including the MPK Book Club. For many of our students, this program has been the first time books are accessible to them to read at home. Our students have expressed that they have been able to capture the joy of reading for the first time by having their own copy of a book and then discussing it in our book club. While making learning fun, we are always improving reading and literacy skills.
